                        SUMMER INFORMATION


EduKit Program for School Year 2018-2019

Stephen Knight Center for Early Education offers the EduKit program as a convenient option for busy families to order your student’s school supplies for the 2018/2019 year.  EduKits are custom made to include the supplies selected and approved by our school and shipping is FREE!  A list of items included in each kit can be accessed on our school’s ordering page at www.edukitinc.com.

Thursday, August 9th

Walk-in Registration/Verification -  7:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.


Friday, August 17th  – Meet & Greet for Kindergarten & ECE 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

    • Meet your classroom teacher & other new classmates. Front office and individual classrooms will be closed during this time. 
    • ECE students will meet their teachers on the front lawn
    • Kindergarten students will meet their teachers on the back playground
    • Light refreshments provide
    • Stop by the front lawn to see what  Enrichment classes will be offered this year
    • Visit our amazing PTA table and sign up to become a member



Monday, August 20th

Parent Orientation – Parents only please (no school for students)

Meet with the principal to discuss the schools policies/procedures, transportation, after school enrichment programs, and more.

***No School for students – PLEASE chose to come either in the morning or in afternoon.

  • Please bring your child’s school supplies
  • Please plan to attend one session either in the morning or the afternoon
  • 9:00 – 10:00 – Meet in the auditorium for orientation with the principal
  • 10:00 – 11:00 – Meet with your child’s teacher in the classroom
  • 1:00 – 2:00 – Meet in the auditorium for orientation with the principal
  • 2:00 – 3:00 – Meet with your child’s teacher in the classroom


Kindergarten Istation Assessment Day (State Reading Assessment)

            5 students at a time (will be scheduled earlier this month through signupgenius)



Tuesday, August 21st – ECE Welcome and Transition Day

  • No school for ECE student
  • Small Groups of ECE students will come to get to get to know the teacher and classroom throughout the day
  • Times will be scheduled in advance by teachers


Tuesday, August 21st – First day of school for Kindergarteners 

  • Drop off starts at 8:15


Wednesday, August 22nd – First Full Day of School for 3 & 4 Year Old ECE Classes

Full Day   – 8:30 – 3:15 

Half day classes

 8:30 – 11:10 morning

12:30 – 3:10 afternoon


Thursday, August 30th  – Back to School Night 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.


Monday, September 3rd – NO SCHOOL – Labor Day

Interested in Giving School Tours?

It’s school choice season! We will have lots of families coming in to tour our wonderful school. Box Tops for Education™ Program – Please save and bring in at the beginning of school!

Last year we earned more than $500 for our school.  Let’s go for $1000 this year! Drop your Boxtops in the collection envelopes outside your child’s class or at the poster next to the PTA board in the main hallway .
