Chinook Books are Here!  

Chinook Books are local coupon books and an App that allows you access to the coupons without needing the physical book!! October 26, Thursday - Non Contact Day(No School for students) - Teacher Work Day


October 27, Friday  - Non Contact Day(No School for students) - Teacher Professional Day

 Teacher Appreciate Chili Cook Off

Our children do not have school October 27th. Our talented and amazing teachers and staff, however, DO have school that day. To show our appreciation, we would love to host a chili cook off that day for lunch. Please bring your items to the school by 10:00 AM to the teacher cafeteria the morning of. We need 12 families to bring enough chili to serve 6+ and additional families to bring side dishes.



October 30th, Monday

5:00-7:00 p.m. WHERE: South High School Main Gym Please enter through the main gym doors


October 31st, Tuesday

  • Parade is at 9:00 a.m. for full day (ECE & K) and ½ am classrooms and at 1:00 p.m. for ½ day (ECE 3 & 4).
  • Face Paint is fine (done by parents/guardians) teachers you are not applying the face paint to students’ faces
  • No Masks.
  • Classroom parties are immediately after the parade


November 3rd, Friday -No School for students - Parent/Teacher Conference COMP Day 


November 3rd, Friday – Discovery Day is coming up

Our program offers structured time where students are engaged in projects and activities that incorporate youth development best practices and are FUN for all ages.  We also offer unstructured time where students have a chance to imagine and explore at their own pace!

Join Ms. Karalee’s classes (Ms. Kathy K, Ms. Lacey, Ms. Betsy, Ms. Katie and Mr. Stephen) for a Art Walk around the building with all the wonderful Art pieces your  children have done.


November 9th, Thursday – Family Thanksgiving Lunch

We will hosting a traditional Thanksgiving meal for our students and their families. Please make sure to make a reservation with your child’s teacher to join us that day. Deadline for reservations is Wednesday, November 1st.  


November 14th,Tuesday – Lifetouch Make up Individual Picture day

Donations Needed We just broke ground on our new school garden. We are in need of items for our new school garden. Please email Patty Paul at Patricia_Paul@dpsk12.org if you are able to make a donation for our new garden.

Interested in Giving School Tours?

It’s school choice season! We will have lots of families coming in to tour our wonderful school. Last year we earned more than $500 for our school.  Let’s go for $1000 this year! Drop your Boxtops in the collection envelopes outside your child’s class or at the poster next to the PTA board in the main hallway .
