Student posing in class wearing headphones

Dear SKCEE Families,

This week was full of fun and excitement! Spirit week brought a wonderful dynamic to the building. I enjoyed walking the halls and seeing our students dressed up and showing their school spirit! Shout out to our PTA for planning and implementing an awesome community builder, thank you again for all your hard work and everything you do for our students! I would like to encourage everyone to continue to be diligent when wearing a mask and hand washing/sanitizing. Please complete health checks with your children each day and keep your children home if they are sick. Together, we can keep students educated and keep everyone healthy.

Mark your calendar:

  • Teacher conferences will be held the 14th and 15th, remotely. Your classroom teacher will be in touch with specifics for your classroom.
  • Fall Break: NO SCHOOL (October 16th-20th) We will return October 21st. These days are district mandated non-student contact days.

Thank you for your continued support with navigating these unpredictable times.

Sincerely,
Matt Johnson M.Ed.
Principal of Stephen Knight Center for Early Childhood Education

General School Updates

No School Today, October 9th

There will be NO SCHOOL for Stephen Knight students Today, Friday, October 9th, 2020. We appreciate your flexibility and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We do acknowledge this was a new addition to our schedule. This is a crucial professional development for
maintaining student safety and meeting requirements for licensing. Originally this professional development was planned to take place during the summer. However, due to the uncertainty of COVID restrictions we were instructed to pause any in person training until this time. Thank you again for your support and patience during this time.

Parent Office Hours

We have weekly office hours for parents 3 to 5 p.m., on Tuesday. Please sign up online!

PTA Updates

Family Survey: Tie-Dye Options

Each year, Ms. Cookie, SKCEE’s art teacher, helps students tie-dye SKCEE t-shirts to show their school spirit. While we aren’t able to tie-dye them at school this year, the PTA is exploring other options for ensuring that all students have a SKCEE shirt. Please take this brief survey to let us know which option you prefer!
