2 students posing in class

Dear SKCEE Families,

It is our priority to keep you informed of incidents related to safety. We want to make you aware that a student or staff member has been diagnosed with COVID-19. We have notified those people who were in close contact to this individual.

Each case of COVID-19 is interviewed by public health. As part of this public health investigation:

  • The person diagnosed is being kept home from school until they are no longer infectious.
  • The person’s activities when they could have spread COVID-19 were assessed.
  • The people who were close contacts of the person with COVID-19 are instructed to stay home from school for 14 days after the exposure. This is called quarantine.

If you have any concerns about your health, we encourage you to contact the Denver Health School Based Health Center at 303-602-8958 (or your primary care provider) for further evaluation and possible testing.

Sincerely,
Matthew Johnson M.Ed.
Principal of Stephen Knight Center for Early Childhood Education

Meet Ms. A

Ms. Anderson teaching Kindergarten students

My name is JuneFrances Anderson and I am SKCEE’s Senior Team Lead and this is my fourth year here. Part of my day is teaching reading groups in Kindergarten and our remote Kindergarten students. The other part of my day is coaching and supporting our Teachers here at SKCEE. I started in DPS as an ECE Paraprofessional in 1995, and I have taught ECE through 5th grade. In May of 2020, I graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with my Educational Specialist degree. Cody and I live in Fort Lupton on a tractor farm and have two miniature schnauzers Lucy Lou and Schroeder. My mom is a retired DPS teacher and guest teaches here at SKCEE in Mrs. Kline’s room. My sister is a Veterinarian in LA, and my brother is the manager of trucking in Kentucky.
