Dear SKCEE Families,
Welcome Back! We hope that your Thanksgiving Break was restful and relaxing. We are excited to start a new journey together with remote learning for the remainder of the semester. This year we are doing our best to provide consistent resources and contact to meet the needs of students and families. Our SKCEE Website currently has teacher schedules, contact information and resources for your use.
Parents have shared their concerns about the wide range of teacher interactions during remote learning in the previous academic year, therefore we have collaborated with the Early Childhood Education Department and teachers to create the expectations set below.
All teachers are meeting the following recommendations set forth by the Early Childhood Education Department.
We are looking forward to reconnecting with all of you. Should you have any questions or concerns please feel free to sign up for office hours with your students homeroom teacher, myself or the Family Liaison. Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Matthew Johnson M.Ed.
Principal of Stephen Knight Center for Early Childhood Education
We have updated our office hours for parents. They will be held Monday and Wednesday, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. All meetings will be held virtually, sign up online! Thank you!
As we look ahead to the second half of the school year, the SKCEE PTA needs your support more than ever. That’s why we are asking you to consider making a one-time, tax-deductible contribution to help enhance your child’s school experience. Learn more, and donate $25 or more by January 1, 2021, to receive a free SKCEE yard sign to show your school pride!
From Monday, 12/7 through Wednesday, 12/9, the SKCEE PTA is partnering with Machen Photography to offer 2020 school portraits for our students! The package, which costs $40 with 25% being donated back to SKCEE, includes a digital file, as well as one 8×10, two 5x7s, three 4x6s, and four wallet prints of your favorite photo. More information, including time slots,
and location. Space is limited, so sign up soon!
To help us stay connected during remote learning, the PTA is hosting weekly read-a-loud storytimes every Wednesday, at 7 p.m., throughout the month of December. Thank you to Ms. Whatmore for reading this week. Next week, we’ll read with Ms. Bev, and the following week we’ll be joined by Mr. Easterwood!
