PTA Read-A-Thon
Do you know the feeling of getting lost in a good book? Where you can travel to a faraway place, without leaving your seat? Or explore new worlds or ideas? That’s the magic of reading – and it’s one we’re hoping you’ll share with your child throughout the SKCEE Read-a-thon Nov. 8-20.
Reading is an essential skill for education, and students with strong literacy skills perform better in school and also have a stronger self-image. During the Read-a-thon, every student will be challenged to read and build their literacy skills.
Our SKCEE Read-a-thon is also an opportunity to raise funds for the school through sponsoring our student readers (fundraising is not required to participate). Previous funds raised have been used to provide enrichment for students, update facilities and support teacher needs. Register your student today: https://www.read-a-thon.com/readers/r/VWTcyA
And if you’d like to support the Read-a-thon by being a sponsor, contact sandra.ellen.tucker@gmail.com.
