Hello SKCEE Families!
🌈Rainbow Week was a big success with students showing their school spirit. ❤️
On Thursday (green day), we had some leprechaun sightings around the building but unfortunately, none of the student-made traps that were made could catch them. 👀 We did however see some green footprints and gold glitter left behind!😉
👀The principal selection process is now in the stages of candidates submitting their videos and the translation department translating for languages in our community. They should be able to be viewed by next week for staff and community input. The candidates will then move to an interview with Dr. Marrero and his team for selection.
Reminder: ALL Families: Friday, March 25, 2022 will be a non-student contact day for SKCEE. Schools have the opportunity to schedule one Accelerated Learning Day. The day will focus on looking at student data and development plans for the remainder of the school year. Thank you for your understanding. The building will be closed.
Our SKCEE student library is in need of a parent volunteer to help facilitate the library usage and book checkout process. We have been unable to use the library due to ECE licensing issues (which have now been resolved) and also due to staff shortages. If you are interested in helping in our library, please contact me ASAP!
Last week I thanked the Howard Family for the microwave, not realizing it came from the entire PTA. Thank you to the SKCEE PTA for the new microwave in the staff lounge. Please know it is much appreciated. 🦋
Field Day is coming! Mark your calendars for Friday, May 6, 2022 for SKCEE Field Day. There will be more details to follow in the coming month. Another calendar item is our SKCEE Spring Fling on May 19, 2022. Again, more details to follow in the coming month. (If your calendar is as busy as mine, it is helpful to have the dates well in advance! 😍)
