Hello SKCEE Families, Happy Friday!

👀 Let’s talk about some safety guidelines for late arrivals and early dismissals: Parents/guardians will need to come to the main office doors, check-in at the office and receive a date stamped sticker to wear, indicating checking into the office. A tardy slip will be given to you to give to the receiving classroom teacher. The parent/guardian will walk their child to the classroom for a sign-in with the teacher, if ECE, (Two sign-ins, one at office and one with the ECE teacher, and quick parent release of the student. The same procedures will occur for students needing early dismissal. (Check-in at office, wear a sticker, give early dismissal slip to teacher, sign-out student with the teacher, if ECE). Two sign-ins, one at office and one with the ECE teacher. Please remember to exit the building at the front doors for security reasons. 🦋😍 Thank you,.💕we appreciate you!

👀🦋👀Please see the PTA Scholastic Book Fair fundraiser information below.  May 2nd-6th is Staff Appreciation Week! Please watch for PTA updates on how we will celebrate our wonderful SKCEE teachers and staff. ❤️ Our PTA sponsored Spring Fling date has been changed in order to include Cory Elementary families. The Spring Fling has been changed to Thursday, May 26.

Please see the important Field Day information below (volunteers needed) from Sara Whatmore!

😍Thank you to those who joined CSC (Collaborative School Committee) in person and virtually for our presentation on the exciting programming changes for our SKCEE learners beginning 2022-2023. Please remember that CSC meetings are open to the public and are a hybrid format of in-person at SKCEE and virtually. Our next meeting will be Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 4:00pm.

😯👖🩲Clothing supplies needed! Our SKCEE health office is in need of girls and boys underpants, and pants, sizes 4,5,6,7,8. When students have “uh ohs” and need a change of clothes, we rely on our clothing supply which is now almost depleted.

👀 Shelley Boberschmidt, the newly named principal of SKCEE for 2022-2023 and beyond, has begun her transition to SKCEE by meeting and greeting parents outside at drop-off, joining staff meetings, CSC meetings etc. Please see her attached letter to the community.🦋

💕On behalf of myself and the SKCEE staff, we wish you a happy holiday weekend as our families celebrate Passover, Easter, Ramadan and more.

Respectfully,

Joanne P. Lander
