Important Upcoming Dates
- Monday, August 4th – SKCEE front office opens for the new school year
- Thursday, August 7th – In-Person Registration time TBA

- Meet and Greet will be the week of August 11th
- Monday, August 18th – No School for ALL SKCEE STUDENTS (SKCEE Specific Licensing Day)
- Tuesday, August 19th – Half Day for all SCKEE Students more info coming soon
- Wednesday, August 20th – First Full Day of School
- Thursday, August 21st – School Picture Day
- Monday, September 1 – No School – Labor Day
Important Reminders for the 25-26 School Year
EARLY PICK-UPS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED AFTER 2:45 P.M. DAILY!
Please note that we will stop opening the doors daily at 2:45 so our teachers and students have uninterrupted time during their end of day routine. Please make plans to pick up your child before 2:45 p.m. if you need them early for an appointment or any other reason. No exceptions allowed.
SKCEE In-Person Registration Days:
Please plan on coming on the day that works best for your family. We will have representatives here from the front office, nurse’s office, Discovery Link and PTA.

Students will not be allowed to start school on the first day (Tuesday, 8/19) if all items below have not been turned in.
Here is what is expected at in-person registration in order for your child to start school on August 19th:
- Online registration – if you have not completed online registration we will have you sit down and complete it while you are here. Online registration: Early Bird window opens Monday, May 5, 2025, the regular registrion window will open at the end of JUly 2025.
- If you need assistance with online registration this is the perfect time to receive that help.
- ECE Families: specific information and links will be updated soon
- Turn in child’s Immunization Record
- Turn in their child’s General Health Appraisal/Statement of Health
- ECE Parent Forms Packet – we will have printed copies available at registration
- Media Permission and Release Form
- Proof of birth/age (if not already submitted)
- Pay student supply fee – cash or credit card accepted
- Turn in any required medication along with required documents (see below)
- Kindergarten families: specific information and links will be updated soon
- Turn in child’s immunization record
- Proof of birth/age (if not already submitted)
- Parent/Guardian information and Permissions
- Media Permission and Release Form
- Pick up child’s chromebook.
- Pay student supply fee – cash or credit card accepted

Additional Information:
First day of school:
First day of school for all students (ECE and Kinder) will be August 19, 2025 and it will be a half day for all students. Students will attend by last name as follows:
- A-L attend from 8:15-11:15
- M-Z attend from 12:15-3:15
Non-Student Contact Teacher Work Days: 2025 days coming soon
In addition to the DPS calendar days, each school is given three non-student contact days for training and planning. On these days our staff will be working on the NAEYC accreditation process. Mark your calendars now and make plans for these approved SKCEE specific non-student contact days
Other Important Info:
- The SKCEE front office is closed for the summer from June 6 – August 4.
- We will not have school supply lists ~ instead we will collect a student fee in August to cover school supplies. More info coming soon, including link to pay. Click here to pay your student fee.
- All SKCEE students MUST complete online registration before school starts – Early Bird Online Registration opens on Monday, May 5, 2025
- All students will need an immunization record on the first day of school
- ECE students must also have a signed General Health Appraisal from their pediatrician/doctor.
- ALL STUDENTS – INCLUDING CORY KINDERGARTEN BOUNDARY STUDENTS – MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE ENROLLMENT APPLICATION IN SCHOOLCHOICE for the 25-26 school year to attend school.

Online Registration opens on Monday, May 5
Once a family is enrolled — or accepted — into a DPS school, the next step is registering with their school. This is the annual process of providing and updating student and family information on file, including emergency contacts, health information and more.
Registration can be done online or through the school in the fall. We recommend registering online because it is convenient and saves time. Families can complete online registration either in the spring during the Early Bird window, or starting at the end of July. Check with your school to confirm their online registration dates.
To register online, sign in to Parent Portal, click on “See All Apps”, then click on “Online Registration” to verify or update your student’s information. Online registration can only be completed by the parent/guardian listed in the primary household of the student record.
If you do not have a Parent Portal account, please contact your school directly for registration information.

- Afterschool programming (PM) ends at 6:00 pm
