Welcome back to Stephen Knight for 2023! We have missed you all, and are so excited to see our butterflies tomorrow.
This is a reminder that we are inviting ECE families back into the building for arrival and dismissal starting tomorrow. ECE full day classrooms will have a soft start to the day from 8:15-8:30 and soft dismissal from 3:00-3:15. This means you may come in the front doors, with your child, and walk the student to their internal classroom door at any time during that window. You will sign them in at the classroom door and say your goodbyes outside of the room. Please ensure the adults in the room welcome your child by name as you depart.
The procedure will be the same when you pick up your student for dismissal. You will sign them out at the door and gather their belongings in the hallway. While it may be tempting to connect with your teacher and para, please refrain from starting personal conversations at arrival and dismissal. Teachers are happy to schedule meetings with you at other times.
As you leave the building, you may exit through the front doors and several of our side doors. Doors available for exit use will have signage, and Stephen Knight staff will be able to guide you. In order to ensure student and school safety; please do not let other families in as you leave. All entry is through the front, main door.
Half-day programming arrival and dismissal times will remain the same but families will enter through the front doors as well as sign in and out at classroom doors.
Kindergarten will continue to use the kiss-n-go and the drop off times are 8:10-8:20. Pick up time begins at 3:15.
Lastly, to conclude our ECE clothing unit, on Friday we will be having a fashion show in the auditorium for all full day students during Specials. Please see the times below. You are welcome to join us in the auditorium as our students cross the stage in their favorite outfits. Each show will be about ten minutes long, starting at the beginning of the time outlined below. Kindergarten will be joining the fashion show fun at the end of the day.
