23-24 School Year Information

Good Afternoon SKCEE Families, 

We are busy preparing for the upcoming school year. We kindly ask that you email  any questions or concerns you might have regarding the upcoming school year to our Office Support, Staci Becker  at Staci_Becker@dpsk12.net. We will be answering and returning phone calls beginning next week. For immediate assistance please send an email to Staci. 

If you are having issues registering online we will be offering support in person on Thursday, August 10. We will be available during these hours:

  • 9:00 am – 11:00 am 
  • 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm 

This is an incredibly busy time of year for us. We kindly ask that you work with us on the days we provide. We will have a meet and greet on August 17 in the afternoon. More information will be coming next week. 

Online Registration for 2023-24 is open!!
We are  requesting all families to participate in online registration this year. By completing this process online using your Parent Portal account, you can avoid paper forms, ensure data quality, accuracy and save time. All SchoolChoice applicants must have an accepted seat prior to registering their student. To register online, primary legal guardians of current DPS students must have an active DPS Parent Portal account. Visit myportal.dpsk12.org to sign up, or to check that your account is active and ready.

*Online Registration is required by the district for all DPS students. Please be advised that SKCEE will have an additional ECE Licensing Parent Packet  that must be completed before August 22.  We will be sending this packet to all ECE families in our Welcome Letter coming next week. 

How do I complete online registration?

Online registration is available starting July 30 until August 21. If your student is newly enrolled or currently enrolled in a DPS school, you can register your student online.

Online registration is completed by signing into Parent Portal. If you do not have a Parent Portal account, you can create one here.

After you sign in to Parent Portal, click on “See All Apps,” then click on “Online Registration” to complete the process. Online registration can only be completed by the parent/guardian listed in the primary household of the student record. Check with your school for its registration deadline.

Note: While you are not required to take part in the online process, you will have to complete a paper version of registration.  (It is much faster online!)

How do I create a Parent Portal account?

  1. Navigate to Parent Portal and click on “Create an account.”
  2. Fill out the form on the next screen.  You will need the ID number of one of your students in order to create a Parent Portal account.
  3. If you do not know your student’s ID, go to studentidretrieval.dpsk12.org or email me at STaci_becker@dpsk12.net
  4. Once the form is completed, click “Submit.” You will be prompted to select your username and password; click “Submit.”
  5. An activation email will be sent to the email used to create your account. Please click the link in the email in order to activate your account. Once completed, you will receive another email informing your account is now active (this may take up to 15 minutes).
