In-Person Registration

Good Afternoon SKCEE Families, 

Here is information regarding in-person registration in August. 

SKCEE In-Person Registration Days:

Please plan on coming on the day that works best for your family. We will have representatives here from the front office, nurse’s office, Discovery Link and PTA.

• Thursday, August 8, 2024 –  2:00 pm- 6:00 pm
• Friday, August 9, 2024 –  9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Here is what is expected at in-person registration in order for your child to start school on August 20th:

• Online registration – if you have not completed online registration we will have you sit down and complete it while you are here. Online registration reopens on Monday, July 29th. 
  • If you need assistance with online registration this is the perfect time to receive that help. 
• ECE Families:
  • Turn in child’s Immunization Record
  • Turn in their child’s General Health Appraisal/Statement of Health
  • ECE Parent Forms Packet – we will have printed copies available at registration 
  • Media Permission and Release Form
  • Proof of birth/age (if not already submitted)
  • Pay student supply fee – $100.00 cas or credit card accepted 
  • Turn in any required medication along with required documents (see below)
• Kindergarten families:
  • Turn in child’s immunization record
  • Proof of birth/age (if not already submitted)
  • Parent/Guardian information and Permissions
  • Media Permission and Release Form
  • Pick up child’s chromebook.
  • Pay student supply fee – $100.00 cash or credit card accepted 
  • Turn in any required medication along with required documents (see below)

• General Health Appraisal/Statement of Health
• Proof of Age/Birth

First day of school:

The ECE centers work slightly differently due to licensing requirements. The DPS calendar says the first day of school is Monday, August 19th, but for early ed that is a licensing staff file / training day. 

First day of school for all students (ECE and Kinder) and it will be a half day for all students. Students will attend by last name as follows:

•  A-L attend from 8:15-11:15
•  M-Z attend from 12:15-3:15

Non-Student Contact Teacher Work Days:

In addition to the DPS calendar days, each school is given three non-student contact days for training and planning. On these days our staff will be working on the NAEYC accreditation process. Mark your calendars now and make plans for these approved SKCEE specific non-student contact days: 

• Monday, December 2, 2024
• Tuesday, April 1, 2025
• Friday, May 2, 2025.

Important Upcoming Dates and Events

• June 7th – SKCEE Front Office closes for Summer Break
• August 5th: SKCEE main office opens 
• August 8th: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm In-person registration at SKCEE
• August 9th: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm In-person registration at SKCEE
• August 15th: Meet and Greet – Time and details TBD
• August 20th: First Day of School – Half Day for All Students with last names that begin with:
  • A-L attend from 8:15-11:15
  • M-Z attend from 12:15-3:15.
• August 21st: First Full Day of School for Students
• September 2nd: No School – Labor Day

**As a friendly reminder the front office will be closed until Monday, August 5th. Please email any questions  you may have during this time and we will respond to you once we are back from summer break.
