Welcome Stephen Knight Center for Early Education (SKCEE) families,
Congratulations! Your child has been accepted into our wonderful Stephen Knight Center for Early Education program (SKCEE). We are excited to embark on this safe and joyful learning journey with you and your child. On behalf of the SKCEE staff, we welcome your child and your family for the 25-26 school year!
First Day of School
Our first day of school will be on Tuesday, August 19. This will be a half day for all students, with last name A-L attending 8:15-11:15 and last name M-Z attending 12:15-3:15. Our first full day of school will be on Wednesday, August 20. Important: Your child will not be able to attend until all required paperwork is completed and turned in, including their General Health Appraisal (ECE) and updated immunizations (all students).
Bell Times
ECE: We open the front doors from 8:15 to 8:30, and do the same in the afternoon from 3:00-3:15. All ECE children must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older, walked to and from the classrooms, and signed in and out by the adult.
Kindergarten can be dropped off in kiss and go on the west side of the building between 8:10-8:20 in the am, and get picked up from 3:10-3:20 in the pm.
School Supplies
In an effort to give teachers flexibility to choose the supplies that best support their students—and to save families a trip to the store—we are requesting a $100 voluntary classroom supply contribution per student in lieu of a traditional classroom supply list. This approach helps ensure classrooms are stocked with consistent, high-quality materials. More details will be shared soon. If this is a hardship, please let us know.

Registration must be done online. All parents/guardians are encouraged to complete online registration by August 7, 2025. *Note – If you have a child on the waitlist for placement at a school we ask that you do not complete registration until all students are accepted into their school for 25-26 school year. Once registration is completed you cannot go back in and add a student.

Throughout the school year, we host fundraisers and social events, provide meals and funding for teachers, and offer volunteer support where it’s needed most.
We’re currently looking for volunteers for the upcoming school year! Opportunities range from a board position as Secretary to smaller, but equally important roles like event committee members and room parents for your child’s class.
