SKCEE Weekly Newsletter April 30, 2021

Posted April 30, 2021

Dear SKCEE Families,

Happy Friday! This was a great week at SKCEE.  I would like to thank everyone who completed our first Parent Input Form!  This was a very useful tool to help teachers get to know more about students and families.  We are currently creating our class list for the 2021-2022 school year.  All class lists will be available at the beginning of next school year.

Continuation: Updated Guest Count!

In alignment with updated county guidance, DPS has revised the policy on number of guests at end of year events. Up to four guests per student can be invited to graduation ceremonies.  Please note that children two and under do not count toward the guest count. In order to ensure an equitable experience for all graduates, the new limit of four guests per student is set for all venues and will be implemented consistently across all schools.

2021-2022 Remote Learning Options

To support families who would like to opt-in to the remote learning program, Denver Public schools will be offering an option for full-time remote learning next year through a centralized program.  Denver Public Schools is currently working out details for grades K-12.  Remote learning for these grades will feature a single, centralized source, and will not be provided through individual schools.  Please visit the Denver Public Schools website for more details and updated information.

Kindergarten families who would like to enroll their student in the remote learning program for the entirety of the 2021-22 school year should complete the Learning Option Selection form on the Parent Portal between May 10 and June 4.

Please continue to check the SKCEE Weekly Newsletter and our website for up to date information.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to sign up for office hours with the principal. (Office Hours Link Here)  Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Matthew Johnson M.Ed.
