Friendship Festival – Thursday, 3/21 – 3:45pm
Get ready to celebrate friendship with SKCEE! Join us after school on Thursday, March 21st for some fun activities for the whole family. From card making to storytime, friendship bracelet crafting, music, games in the gym, and delicious food there’s something for everyone! More information will be sent next week.

Trans Martial Arts – PTA Fundraiser
For the entire month of March, if any SKCEE family or friends sign up for one month of classes at Tran’s Family Martial Arts, 100% of the membership fee will be donated directly to the SKCEE PTA. The one-month membership fee is $159, entailing two classes per week held on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday between 3:30 and 5:00 PM. Once purchased, the membership can be redeemed at any time before September 1, 2024. Please email knightceepta@gmail.com with questions.
SKCEE Book Fair – April 9th – 11th
It’s almost book fair time! SKCEE’s Scholastic Book Fair is happening from Tuesday, April 9 through Thursday, April 11 in the auditorium. The book fair will be open after half-day and full-day dismissals, so students and their families are invited to shop for books together after school. By supporting the book fair, you help SKCEE earn Scholastic Dollars, which the staff uses to purchase books and other classroom items. March Dine Out – Cherry Cricket – Tuesday, 3/5
Cherry Cricket will be hosting a dine out for SKCEE on Tuesday, March 5th from 11am – midnight. 15% of sales will be donated back to the PTA. Please mention SKCEE when ordering dine in or take out. We hope to see you there!
Stock the Lounge – Wednesday, 3/20
The remaining Stock the Lounge’s for the year will continue to be school-wide! March’s stock the lounge will be on Wednesday, March 20th. Please bring in non-perishable snacks and drinks for the teachers and other staff to enjoy. There will be PTA volunteers and donation boxes outside of the front office, at the kinder kiss-n-go line, and at the Cory bus stop.
PTA Meeting – Thursday, 3/14
The next PTA meeting will be on Thursday, March 14th at 5pm in the PD room. Childcare will be provided.
We are looking for volunteers to become a Room Parent for your child’s class! Room Parents will help their classroom teacher as needed with: communication with parents, finding resources and volunteers, planning and implementing class celebrations, and organizing class gifts. We ask that you become a member of the PTA and attend monthly meetings, as this job will include relaying specific communications from the PTA involving community events, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities. Being a Room Parent is a fun and rewarding job that helps you build great relationships with your child’s teacher and classroom community! Please reach out to your teacher directly if you are interested in volunteering as a Room Parent.

PTA membership is a great way to get involved in the SKCEE community, and members have a vote on any issues raised at monthly PTA meetings. Membership is $15 for an individual, $30 for a couple, and $10 for SKCEE staff. Join today and be sure to mark your calendar for our first meeting on Thursday, 9/14 at 5pm at SKCEE.

Welcome to Stephen Knight Center for Early Education! Whether you are a new or returning family, the SKCEE PTA is happy to have your family join our community this school year.
The SKCEE PTA’s goals are to promote a culture of parent engagement and volunteerism; provide sustainable financial resources that support student education and classroom needs; maintain effective communication with the SKCEE community; and foster collaboration and partnership between SKCEE families and staff. During a typical school year, the SKCEE PTA hosts fundraisers and social events, and we provide meals, funding and volunteer support for our teachers and staff.
Support from our families and community help make all of this possible! If you are interested in getting involved in the SKCEE PTA, we encourage you to stop by the PTA table at the Meet and Greet on August 17 from 3-4pm. We will have a table set up near the front office. Families will be able to sign up for PTA membership, purchase SKCEE t-shirts, and learn about volunteer opportunities! We hope to see you there!

2022-2023 PTA Meeting Minutes
Our mission is to support Stephen Knight Center for Early Education’s leadership, teachers and staff in fostering an inclusive, diverse learning community through parent engagement, volunteerism, advocacy and financial support that helps all SKCEE students reach their full potential.
The PTA encourages all SKCEE families to participate in our efforts! We welcome you to join the 2023-2024 PTA. Membership dues are $15 for family/community members and $10 for faculty/staff members. Membership dues support the SKCEE PTA general fund. As a member of the PTA, you’ll be a voting member and invited to attend optional, monthly PTA meetings. Most importantly, you’ll be a valuable part of making Stephen Knight Center for Early Education a wonderful place for our young students! Click here to join!

SKCEE Scamper: Our annual school Fun Run and Silent Auction! This will be our biggest fundraiser of the year and will require lots of volunteers, so please consider getting involved!
Annual SKCEE Book Fair and Read-A-Thon: This fun, week-long fundraiser
encourages families to support their young learners’ love of reading and also raises
important funds for our school. Funds raised support the PTA’s mission to enhance

Dine-Out Events: The SKCEE PTA organizes monthly Dine-Out events. These events take place at local restaurants and are a fun way to enjoy a family meal out, and to support SKCEE. Each restaurant donates a portion of the proceeds from the Dine-Out event back to our school.
Spring Fling: The annual Spring Fling gathers our community for an outdoor fair at the school. Activities include games, food, music and lots of fun

Traditional Box Tops clips are being phased out; however, we still encourage you to bring any clips you have, or find into school to feed your classroom Box Top Animal!
