Hello SKCEE Families!

Thanks to everyone who came out to our first PTA meeting last night! We had a great turn out and it was wonderful seeing you all. Your time, energy, and ideas make such a difference for our kids! Be sure to join or renew your PTA membership HERE! It’s a $15 fee for parents/caregivers and $10 for staff/faculty.

Here’s a look at what’s coming up!

FALL PICNIC – THURS, SEPT 17 | 3:30- 5PM | BLACKTOP

Our annual SKCEE Fall Picnic is just around the corner! Enjoy a relaxed fall afternoon with SKCEE families, teachers and staff. Feel free to bring a blanket, chairs, umbrella and/or your own picnic food items. There will be:

DJ, dancing, and henna art for the kids
Pizza + juice meal ($5) – tickets available at the entrance or can be purchased online in advance (coming soon)
SKCEE logo tees ($15) for Tie-Dye Days can be purchased during the event or online here

* This is a cashless event – venmo or credit cards only!*

Volunteers help make this event happen! Sign up HERE to help with set-up, tickets, pizza, tees or clean-up.

STOCK THE LOUNGE – SEPT 14-18

The Hospitality Committee keeps the Staff Lounge filled with snacks, drinks and a little extra love all year long!

You can help out by:

Donating directly to the PTA’s Stock the Lounge Fund via Venmo @SKCEEPTA (please indicate in venmo notes what transaction is for)
Donating non-perishable, individually packaged snacks and/or drinks. Donations can be placed in the labeled bins outside the front office or at the Kindergarten Kiss & Go during the week of Sept 14th. *Our school is 100% peanut and nut free*

FIRST ‘SHOP OUT’ SUCCESS!

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Little Bird Shop Out event. We raised $500! Our next Dine Out will be at Tia’s Taqueria on September 22nd.

DPS’S FACE COMMUNITY PROGRAM SURVEY

FACE (Family & Community Engagement) provides access to resources, information, and support for everyone in the Denver Public Schools community. SKCEE would like to offer some of their programs to our parents/caregivers. Click HERE to take the survey and see programming options.

UPCOMING DATES:

Stock the Lounge Week – Mon-Fri, Sept 14-18: Help keep the Staff Lounge stocked with snacks and drinks (more details coming soon).
Fall Picnic – Thurs, Sept 17: More details coming soon.
Dine-Out at Tia’s Taqueria – Tues, Sept 22: 10% of sales will be donated back to SKCEE.
Tie-Dye Days – Wed-Fri, Sept 23-25: T-shirts for your student’s assigned Tie-Dye day will be sold at the Fall Picnic.

Show your SCKEE spirit! T-shirts are available for $25 in teal or purple. Order here. A limited selection of sizes will also be available at the Fall Picnic.
