SKCEE Weekly Newsletter May 7, 2021

Posted May 7, 2021

Dear SKCEE Families,

Happy Friday! This was a great week at SKCEE.  As we bring teacher appreciation week to a close I would like to sincerely thank all of our teachers for their unwavering support of students and families this year.  I feel incredibly fortunate and proud to be on such a wonderful team.  I would also like to thank the Parent Teacher Association and all community members who contributed to making this a special week for teachers.  Even though teacher appreciation week is technically over, I highly encourage everyone to continue to show our teachers appreciation for all they do for students and the SKCEE community.

Positive COVID Case Identified 5/7/21

It is our priority to keep you informed of incidents related to safety. We want to make you aware that a student or staff member has been diagnosed with COVID-19. We have notified those people who were in close contact to this individual.

Each case of COVID-19 is interviewed by public health. As part of this public health investigation:

  • The person diagnosed is being kept home from school until they are no longer infectious.
  • The person’s activities when they could have spread COVID-19 were assessed.
  • The people who were close contacts of the person with COVID-19 are instructed to stay home from school for 10 days after the exposure. This is called quarantine.

If you have any concerns about your health, we encourage you to contact the Denver Health School Based Health Center at 303-602-8958 (or your primary care provider) for further evaluation and possible testing.

Please continue to check the SKCEE Weekly Newsletter and our website for up to date information.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to sign up for office hours with the principal. (Office Hours Link Here)  Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Matthew Johnson M.Ed.
