Dear SKCEE Families,
I am writing to let you know that we will have an early-release Heat Day today, Thursday, September 9, 2021 and tomorrow, Friday September 10, 2021. All students will be dismissed starting at 12:00 p.m.
| Normal Dismissal Time | Half Day Dismissal Time |
| 3:15 p.m. | 12:00 p.m. |
| 3:20 p.m. | 12:05 p.m. |
| 3:25 p.m. | 12:10 p.m. |
| Note* Half Day Students: Students attending the morning session will continue as normal. The Afternoon Half Day Sessions are cancelled. | |
| New* Lunches: Students can bring lunches from home, or they can request lunch from our cafeteria services. |
As you may be aware, we are using a variety of measures to ensure our school stays open and our students feel comfortable during extremely hot days. Our number one priority is the safety and well-being of students and staff. Weather forecasters say temperatures in Denver will hit 99 degrees tomorrow.
I understand this is short notice, an inconvenience for many of our families, and that childcare may be an issue for some. I am available to answer questions you may have regarding the early-release Heat Day.
As always, thank you for your continued support of our school, and I very much appreciate your patience as we successfully navigate through the first weeks of the school year.
Best Regards,
Matt Johnson M.Ed.
Principal of SKCEE
