Dear New Stephen Knight Center for Early Education (SKCEE) Families and Current SKCEE Families, 

Congratulations and Welcome!!! Your child has been accepted into our wonderful Stephen Knight Center for Early Education program! We are excited to embark on this educational journey with you and your child. Please review the following information to ensure a smooth transition into the 2022-2023 academic year.

SKCEE Meet and Greet/Back-to-School Night on August 18, 2022.

We look forward to meeting and greeting our new and returning families prior to the first official day of school. Please join the SKCEE Faculty & Staff on August 18, 2022 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm. Meet the staff, see the classroom, and join us for some fun. More information is coming soon!

First Day of School: ½ Day “Soft Start” on August 22, 2022

Starting school for the first time and/or beginning in a new class can often be challenging for our young learners. With that in mind, we will be using a “soft start” for the first day of school with ½ day programming. This will allow our young learners to find early success in their new learning environment, and for our families to learn the rhythms of drop off and pick up. Our first day of school is Monday, August 22, 2022 and will be ½ day programming. There will be an option of morning attendance or afternoon attendance for August 22nd only. (Students already enrolled in 1/2 day programs will follow their already determined ½ day programming.) 

Regular full-day programming will begin on August 23rd. As we are currently working on class lists, further communication will be coming from SKCEE and your child’s classroom teacher in August. 

Next year’s PTA is being formed and all positions need filling…we need YOU!!

Online Registration for 2022-23

Registration can be done online, or through the school in the fall. We recommend registering online because it’s convenient and saves time. Families can register online for the 2022-23 school year during one of two windows: The “Early Bird” window, May 2-20, or late July through the end of August.

📌Important reminder: If you have a child on the waitlist and your other children have been accepted into their school of choice. We are strongly recommending that you wait to complete online registration until all of your children have been accepted at a school. Waiting to complete registration will not jeopardize your child’s placement at their school. Please contact your child’s school for additional information. 

Important Documentation

Your student will need the following documentation for the 2022-2023 school year. 

  • All ECE and Kindergarten students will need to provide an up to date immunization record before the first day of school. (Your health care provider will provide this documentation.)
  • ALL ECE students will also need to provide a current general health appraisal. Please provide the attached form to your health care provider.

Discovery Link Before and After School Care

Registration for the 22-23 School Year is currently open. Please click this link to register. 

  • Morning programming (AM) begins at 6:30am at $9.25 per day.
  • Afterschool programming (PM) ends at 6:00pm at $15.25 per day.
  • Full Day Camps (Non-School Days) begin at 7:00am and end at 5:30pm at $48 per day.

Registration Fee

$35 for one student

$50 max per family
